Why this is different

Not a CV database. The opposite of one.

A CV database is where people upload themselves and hope. The Vault is where people are admitted, verified and vouched for. That difference is everything you are paying for.

Job boards

You advertise, then you sift.
Hundreds of applications, mostly unsuitable
Claims on CVs, unverified
The best people rarely apply
Your team does the screening

CV database access

You buy a haystack.
Self-uploaded, self-described, often stale
No vetting, no accountability
Names exposed, so top people stay away
Volume priced, value unknown

The Vault

A curated room, not a pile.
Every profile admitted through vetting, never uploaded
Skills verified by assessment before you meet anyone
Anonymous by default, so people worth meeting say yes
Someone real vouches for every introduction
The bar

What makes them the best people?

"Vetted" is easy to claim. Here is what it actually takes to enter the Vault, and how few make it.

STEP 01

Invitation or application

Nobody uploads themselves. Every candidate is invited, or applies and is reviewed individually.

STEP 02

Track-record review

Roles held, mandates owned, outcomes delivered. Evidence, not adjectives; each practice has a written bar.

STEP 03

Verification

Role-appropriate skills assessments, plus qualification and registration checks where they apply.

STEP 04

References

Spoken to, not just listed. At the level the candidate operates: board, exco, partner.

STEP 05

The vouch

Final sign-off against the house standard. If we would not hire them, they are not in the Vault.

What lands on your desk.

Three illustrative profiles in the exact format members receive. Real profiles carry the same structure: achievements, verification, availability. Never a name until the candidate says yes.

Sample profiles, illustrative. Members request an introduction with one click; we obtain the candidate's consent before any identity is shared.

Screening & assessments

Verified means tested, not trusted.

CVs are claims. Interviews reward charm. Before anyone reaches you, capability is assessed in a form that fits the level and the practice; brilliant people who interview modestly stop losing to confident people who cannot deliver.

Leadership & Board

Case-study and scenario assessments, leadership and cognitive instruments where appropriate, and referencing at board and exco level. Governance and fit-and-proper checks for board mandates.

Finance & Audit

Designation and registration checks (CA(SA), CIMA, actuarial), technical assessments across IFRS, tax and audit, and partner-level references.

Technology

System design and build assessments matched to the role, walkthroughs of systems actually shipped, and technical references we call.

Specialists

Professional admission and registration checks, work-product review, and references from people we would ourselves hire.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Who can subscribe?
Any employer or hiring decision-maker. The free edition is open to all; the Full edition is for teams actively hiring senior people.
Are the profiles real and actually available?
Every profile is real, personally vetted Elite Talent who has consented to anonymised publication. Availability is current at the time of sending, and we tell you immediately if it has changed by the time you enquire.
Why are profiles anonymised?
Most of the people in the Vault are currently employed and their search is confidential. Anonymisation protects them under POPIA, and it protects you: it means the calibre of person who would never post a CV on a job board is willing to be in the Vault. Identity is disclosed only with the candidate's explicit consent, per opportunity.
How do introductions work, and what do they cost?
Reply to any edition with the profile reference, or use the request link. We confirm your brief, quote a flat fee upfront (never a percentage of package), obtain the candidate's consent, and introduce you. Placements are backed by a replacement guarantee.
Can I forward it to a colleague?
Within your organisation, yes. Republishing or sharing profiles outside your organisation isn't permitted; it's a condition of the confidentiality that keeps top people in the Vault. Colleagues can subscribe free themselves.
How is this different from buying access to a CV database?
A CV database is self-uploaded and unvetted: you pay for volume and do the sifting yourself. The Vault is admission-only: every profile has passed a track-record review, role-appropriate skills assessments and spoken references, with final sign-off against the house standard. You are not buying access to CVs; you are buying the work that already happened before you arrived.
How do people get into the Vault?
By invitation or vetted application only; nobody can add themselves. In our first intake we screened 2,203 records and fewer than 1 in 12 cleared the bar. Each practice has a written standard covering seniority, verified outcomes, designations where they apply, and references at the level the candidate operates.

Your next senior hire may already be in this month's edition.
